Children's Reading Room

PIOP’s Library also features a children’s section in an area suitably designed for children’s needs. The Library’s children’s section is targeted at children aged between four (4) and (12) years old and provides the same services as those for adults.


The children’s collection has over 1,500 book titles and is constantly enriched with new material. It comprises a rich collection of classic and more recent children’s stories and of novels for children and youths by Greek and foreign authors. It also includes books of a more general interest and of an encyclopaedic nature, which can complement the work carried out in the school classroom. The collection is constantly being renewed and enriched through the purchase of new titles and/or donations.

Τhe premises of the Children’s Reading Room are used to implement PIOP’s Educational Programmes.
