“Psychae” Exhibition-artistic installation by Apóstolos Handzarás at the Rooftile and Brickworks Museum
17.6.2017
30.9.2017

In celebration of the beginning of summer, the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation (PIOP) will inaugurate “Psychae”, an exhibition-artistic installation by Apóstolos Handzarás at the Rooftile and Brickworks Museum, on Saturday 17th June (at 9pm). Following the exhibition’s successful display at the Silk Museum, in Soufli (Thrace), the “psychae” now travel to Volos.

Except for “soul”, the Ancient Greek word “psyche” also has the meaning of butterfly. Visitors to the Rooftile and Brickworks Museum between the 17th June and the 30th September will come across dozens of large and small butterflies. Suspended from the driers’ ceiling, apparently fragile – like an intangible dimension of every living being –, they invite the public to experience a “confrontation” with colours, legends, allegories.

The exhibition will run from 17 June - 30 September 2017

Opening hours: daily (except Tuesdays) 10am – 6pm

For further information, please contact the Rooftile and Brickworks Museum by calling (+30) 24210 29844 (10am – 6pm daily, except Tuesdays).
